It means *sliced apple* as they started out as an apple slice covered in dough.<br \/>\nTraditionally people had \u00e6bleskiver in February to a carnival,that we are still celebrating, but now they are very popular around christmas time.<\/p>\n<pre>I morgen holder de pot-luck i Isabellas klasse og hun har bedt Mor om at lave \u00e6bleskiver..<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div title=\"Page 2\">\n<p>Prep time : 10 min. + restting time and baking time.<\/p>\n<p>For making approx. 25 \u00e6bleskiver you will need:<\/p>\n<pre>4 dl rice milk\r\n240 g Flour \r\n3 tabl. fresh lemon juice<\/pre>\n<pre>1 teaspoon Baking Powder\r\n1\u20444 teaspoon cr\u00e8me de tatar\r\n1 tablespoon Sugar\r\n1\/4 teaspoon Salt\r\n3 tabl. apple sauce<\/pre>\n<p>1.Mix all ingredients very well, except from the apple sauce.<\/p>\n<p>2.Leave in bowl to rest for 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>3.Add the apple sauce.<br \/>\n4.Mix well.<br \/>\n5.Fry in butter in a \u00e6bleskive pan or other pan with holes\u00a0approx. 5-6 cm.<\/p>\n<p>Fill the hole up, when the dough is stiffening on the edge, turn with a thin stick and fry on the other side.<\/p>\n<pre>Serve with strawberry or raspberry jam and icing sugar for\r\ndipping.<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; \u00c6bleskiver is a 400 years old Danish tradition.
